Pros

Thunderbolt 4 dock works great with 2 4k/60 displays and wired ethernet. It supports two monitors with the m1 pro chip in my macbook. It keeps my macbook pro charged and grants me the benefits of a desktop experience.

Seagate and lacie external hard drives are included in the dock. The dock can also power an ssd external hard drive via its usb-c port.

Cons

It really only has one usable usb-c port. While there are 3, one is strictly for power throughput, and the other is for connection to your computer. What a waste of space which could have been resolved with a simple permanently attached usb- c cord.

Not a good value for limited functionality. Biggest issue that has plagued me on every single one of these devices is the usb ports occasionally freeze up. Definitely not recommending it.

My speakerphone also has an internal battery, and this dock keeps it charged even when not in use.

The caldigit ts4 constantly dropped ethernet connectivity and sometimes could not connect my macbook to the internet period!

Price

Yes, it's a pricey dock, but, to me, to have it work seamlessly is worth the price.

For most ordinary users, the extra cost is not worth the unnoticeable gain in performance.

The internet throughput speed was also markedly slower on the caldigit than on this belkin.

I had originally purchased the caldigit ts4 thundersbolt 4 dock for more money than the belkin dock.
