It works for both macbook pro and windows pc archiving 2. But downloaded the latest drivers from realtek anyway.
Cons
Called the company and got no support. I called them and they said they couldn't do anything about it. So i called the company again. They said they could do nothing.

I bought this to connect my m2 macbook to my network easy to use but ethernet in one end plug into computer

Recognised immediately and worked out of the box after configuring my ip address and subnet on the created ethernet link on macbook
