Pros & Cons
Pros
Best bang for the buck. I wish it had a drop down survivor too. Had one fall off a little kicker in the woods ended up sliding into a tree and was fine.
Helmet is as good as my $800 mx helmets but with a useful windscreen. The vents are nice but a little noisy compared to the higher end helmets. Oh yeah, the air vent has a screen so that no bugs get in, just air.
The mips technology is a plus which i also use on mountain biking helmets. It's not bothersome, just noticeable after a day off-road. The weight is not a problem as i have had other helmets in the past that weighed a ton.
The lining is super plush and comfortable. It's very comfortable, and well ventilated. The faux suede liner is very nice.
Sizing chart is accurate. Bought size xl because have a bell moto 3 for comparison. I usually wear an xl mc helmet, but i'm a xxl in this one.
Cons
The mips system seems like a marketing gimmick more than anything. It makes the wearer look more like a bobble head. The chinstrap is fairly frayed. There is extreme wind noise inside the helmet at speeds over 40mph.
Highlights
Quality
The helmet shell is great, well finished.
Perfect fit, very comfortable, nice looking and quality made.
Airflow seems okay but the side vents on the actual sides of the helmet are fake and don't do anything.
I have a very loud exhaust and the helmet didn't have any strong resonances or droning sounds.
Price
For the money you can’t beat it.
00 on a helmet, i think this is a great bargain.
For twice the cost, i made the tough decision to send it back.
Overall, a great value for a helmet that will let you be seen.
Packaging/appearance
Looks like it’s caused by the way it’s stored in the box and resting on one side.
The helmet did come with both a clear and a tinted visor so that was super-cool!
I’m glad i did because after 4 months of riding it has definitely packed out a little bit.
Competitiveness
The arai and klim were the first to go, due to their overall fit and function along with the price tag.
Bought size xl because have a bell moto 3 for comparison.
I usually wear an xl mc helmet, but i'm a xxl in this one, so they may run a tad small compared to other helmets.
