This kit contains universal cables and hosing. They work well and come with some ends for custom sizing if needed.
Cons
It's a shame that the packing done by the factory hurts the quality of the product. They also look terrible.
The front derailleur is on a boom out in front of the bike, and needs a longer than standard cable. The brake cables are a little too stretchy for my liking. Buy shimano standard universal mtb or road brake set.
Highlights
Quality
High quality, works for those who know what they are doing lacing cables.
Good price for quality replacement cables for my brakes.
If it does then you have indexed shifting and the shifter cables for the 500 series will not work as well with the shifters on your bike.
I am going to put these on soon, but i wanted to clear up some confusion that i out there on this product.
Price
I bought 12 feet of housing from a local bike shop and it cost me $24, so i consider this a major bargain.
Competitiveness
The only gripe i have is that i wish bell sold a multi-pack of the longer rear cables.
I had enough housing from this package to refurb two bicycles and had some left over.
Simple way to refurb an old bike.
