Is it worth it yes but be forewarned the cleanup process will take some time. It isn't super easy to clean so it is imperative to use oil coating on the plates.

It is unfortunate, but this particular item is complete garbage. Do not buy. This product is junk.
The lid is wobbly and falls shut at the slightest touch. It is very flimsy and when it is open, there is no latch to keep it open.
After 3 recipes, i’ve come to realize it will not make a crispy waffle. I tried connecting it to different outlets, the lights come on, but it does not heat up. It’s a nice waffle but the taste and smell wasn’t part of my appetite.

Packaging/appearance
Got it right out of the box and whipped up a batch of belgian waffle from a recipe off the internet.
The only con i have to say is the delivery packaging could have been tapped better and arrived more secure.
Competitiveness
This works as good as my $100+ waffle iron.
This will save from buying eggo’s and so much better.
