It's too big for edc and is bright orange and too expensive to only use a few months a year, but the design and build quality is so nice. A viable alternative to the discontinued 710. Makes an excellent pocket knife for mechanics.

I've had a few bad experiences with vertical blade play with the axis lock and ended up sending 4 out of 5 back to amazon.

I think there are many better benchmade options (personally for me a spyderco gayle bradley ii) for edc/defensive use.

I think the weak springs on the other knives i purchased caused a poor lock up, most recently a volli that i just returned.
