Pros
The benchmade 940 is as ideal an edc as any i have seen. Sharp as a razor and light as a feather! Bought this knife for my avid outdoorsman son.
It's a gentleman's folder to be sure. Smooth and solid with no movement when open and locked.
Cons
Overall blade shape is just goofy, leavy it best suited for slicing tomatoes, in my opinion. Cons-horrible edge geometry, not sharp.

I particularly like the way it operates with the thumb stud and axis lock.
Absolutely the sharpest knife out-of-the-box i've ever owned.
(i don't really care for the spyderco thumb hole type blades or their shape.
Price
If price is a consideration when buying a knife, there are other options.

The blade was nearly shaving sharp right out of the box.

I own several benchmade knives but this one may just top them all.
However, benchmade knives are well made and you pay for what you get.
While i am more of a spyderco, zt, and hinderer fan, benchmade really knocked this one out of the park.
