Pros & Cons
Pros
Cpm-3v is a great steel for edc as it is hard but also resistant to impact damage. It's very lightweight, but also is very sturdy and has no blade wobble. The tanto blade is the only one i carry.
Great knife. Perfect for everyday use. This thing feels so good in your hand it's amazing.
Is hair shaving sharp. Now that it's sharpened to my liking, i'm quite pleased. Still slicing paper and just out of shaving.
It's noticeably lighter than my previous carry which was the benchmade mini griptilian (pictured) the handle is a little larger and more ergonomic for my hand. It's a bit long.
The grivory version is $160 + free shipping at scheels. This is the first benchmade knife i've owned, so there's no fanboy bias here. All good as with all my benchmade folders.
Cons
Lanyard hole part on this model has a dimple that is sharp and gouges constantly in real use. It isn’t the blade that flexes but the plastic where the pivot point is. Main flaw for me is the blade is so ridiculously thin you can almost see it deflect.... Read More
Highlights
Quality
Great action and feels high quality in hand.
This knife is a true tool, it’s quality, the knife won’t fail you as long as you know how to use the tool!
It's so thin and has skeletonizing inside the aluminum scales (minimal but some) and this thing weighs a ton for how thin it is.
The weight of it and the quality of it and the color of it and the m4 steel of it and the deep carry of it and the texture of t... Read More
Price
I got this knife from a military only retailer and for the price i paid it's well worth it.
Worth the price if you want a high end knife.
As for the price, it's is still excessive.
Would recommend this knife if you've got the money to spend.
Shipping
I originally paid 220 shipped now its 300+ ridiculous .
If you are suffering from knife addiction, reading my review won't matter and you are probably already checking your tracking #... Read More
Packaging/appearance
I tried getting a picture of it, but it's difficult to get one that clearly shows what i'm talking about.
If you’re opening boxes and light packaging, this might work for you.
Came very sharp, very little brake in period
Competitiveness
This is my first greater 200$ so i’m not sure how it compares to others in this category but i sure do love it.
Lately benchmade probably has the worse factory edge out of any brand i've tried.
I haven't used the bailout 537 enough to give it a thorough review but think it is somewhat similar to the benchmade bugout.
I bought this same knife at bass pro shop.
