Pros & Cons
Pros
The full-sized bugout is a great value for the money. It takes a superb edge and keeps it much better than my last knife. Benchmade always delivers quality. This is my first benchmade knife and i'm sure it won't be my last.
The pivot is buttery smooth. With the bronze phosphor washers after i applied some knife pivot lube.
The blade deploys smoothly and locks securely into place with benchmade's axis lock mechanism. The axis lock is stronger than the compression lock on some spydercos and i prefer how it closes.
Cons
The blade has a lot of play sideways and loose. This knife is not the same quality that i expected based on my previous benchmade knives.

Smooth, blade drops free, solid lockup, even grind, and shaving sharp.
Slides in the pocket and is easily concealed.
Price
This is inexcusable for a $190 knife.
I found it at an rei locally for less money and i just couldn't say no.
At $155, it is very steep for a 3.
This knife prices a lot of people out of the market.
Competitiveness
It just seemed "cheap" in my hand compared to the freek.
I do have other light, smaller blades like the dosier which is a close comparison to the bugout in size, weight and overall performance.
At least compared to my 2 spyderco's.
