The knife gets sharp, real sharp. Benchmade are hard to dull. The sharpening choil is the perfect size. It also takes a while to sharpen since the steel is super hard.

The new crown jewel of my knife collection. I have it as a companion to my bk-7. The end product is worth it especially if you're looking for stainless.

Cons

It's a bummer because i really wanted to like this knife, and now my faith in benchmade's quality is hurt. Had trouble taking bark off of branches and not very good for batoning. I'm now worried these issues mean it's a knockoff.

Very sturdy, very well made, fits my hand perfectly!

The knife and sheath are both super high quality.

After batoning several logs and and carving several feather sticks, the knife was still sharp enough to shave the hairs off of my arm.

I've cut saplings down with ease whittled wood for an hour then went and tested on paper to find it still slicing.

Price

Best money i’ve spent on a knife in the past 30 years.

Got an excellent deal from amazon on this purchase.

So, i know it's expensive, just suck it up and spend the money.

The ferro rod was not included and since i wanted to keep it all a benchmade product, i purchased the ferro for $50.

It arrived two days early on a holiday, pretty nice.

I received the knife within 2 days from ordering.

Arrived in brand new condition, 5/5 across the board.

Wow, so beautiful i'm almost afraid to use it.

I purchased this bushcrafter 162 model after a lot of due diligence, comparing with the competition, and watching countless reviews.

I know the price is steep on this compared to some other knives but the end product is worth it especially if you're looking for stainless.
