Pros & Cons
Pros
This is my 3rd benchmade i purchased after my griptilian and nakamura 484 - m390 steel. I love my nakamura but this freek with the m4 and the smoothness of this knife and the feel and looks is just better then rest. A nice upgrade from the original fr... Read More
Go on ebay and check out some 80's vintage benchmade knives like the emerson spec war. Would love to see some different color combos and possibly a micarta option.
The rsk griptilian is very light and sturdy. Not too heavy either. If you have a smaller hand, the mini version will come later this year.
This blade is capable of maintaining a razor like sharpness and holding it for an extremely long time. I generally go with partially serrated blades, but other than missing that feature this knife fill all i need it to do. Knife and sheath are well wo... Read More
This is my first time owning a benchmade and i can honestly say i have never owned a knife like this before. I know we each have our own likes/dislikes, but for me, this knife is hands down my favorite edc knife.
Cons
One week in, the lock fails again. The m4 blade is garbage. The blade touches the liner.
Highlights
Quality
This is my second benchmade knife, lost the first one unfortunately, great quality.
The grip contour feels great and the m4 steel blade is very sharp and holding.
The knife is a beast and super thick for hard use.
The only thing is the blade is slighty off center and there is a tiny spot of rust on the blade but when i inevitably send it i... Read More
Price
Price is msrp, and actually worth it.
Expensive knife but worth every penny in quality.
For under $200 you get a lot for the money.
Bought a deep carry clip from the company for $10
Packaging/appearance
Comes in the benchmade brand box and everything and the black protective sleeve is super soft and nice as well!
Excellent package - size, weight and the fictional full flat grind blade profile.
Came out of the box sharp and ready to go.
Competitiveness
I hope that benchmade will come up with more scale choices for this knife.
The price of almost all benchmade knives are in my opinion a little steep.
