Pros & Cons
Pros
This is the nicest, sharpest, best balanced, highest quality knife i own. The knife itself is really really nice overall. The thumb grip and overall comfortable and secure grip.
The molle sheath is well-made and works fine. Comes with two velcro loops that attach to the sheath.
It is just about indestructible and reasonably easy to sharpen. It has a certain feel to it that you cannot get from cheaper blades, and a sharpness that is long-lasting.
Highlights
Quality
This knife came razor sharp and you can feel the quality while holding it.
This is a top quality product from benchmade and i couldn't be happier.
Not an edc and i have heard that benchmades can have a problem with the tang but haven't noticed anything yet.
This knife and emerson knives are very popular with the guys who climb into helicopters and go hunting for the taliban at night... Read More
Price
All in all, would purchase again (it was more than the current listed price, somewhere around $185 back then).
I would consider if price was your main concern for purchasing i would go with a 6" folding pocket knife for like $8 ^ *.
Packaging/appearance
The knife showed up on time in excellent packaging and was brand new.
Ive had it for 8 years now, still holds an amazing edge and the black finish as only slightly diminished from consistent pullin... Read More
Also, using the paracord to affix the sheath to molle webbing allows for more flexing of the sheath when the knife in not in it.
The serrated section isn't too long and the non-serrated part is razor sharp out of the box.
Competitiveness
The sheath is nice and sturdy, as expected for benchmade products.
This is a traditional benchmade knife with a tanto blade and it's awesome.
If you're looking at possibly spending 130+$ on a knife, benchmade as a company needs no introduction.
My everyday carry is a benchmade barrage with the same serrated tanto blade.
