As item is crocheted and the shades blend it is clearly darkish grey not silver.

Crocheting can get to be an expensive hobby, but this is my favorite yarn for the most affordable pricing

The price is quite reasonable since you get enough yarn to really make something---a small blanket, a child's sweater or a very long scarf!

I think it is reasonably priced, but note that the price tends to bounce around over time.
