Just got this but i am impressed with it so far. They work great and my daughters have a blast with them.
Lantern seems well sealed and should survive being in the rain or being splashed. Great for camping or for an emergency kit. Now have ordered 10 more to outfit our boy scout troop.
A fold-down loop handle makes this lantern easy to hang overhead. The lantern can be inverted to provide light from a table top.

For the most part hanging it form the ceiling of the gazeebo provides enough light to do simple things like play cards and move around with ease but i would not want to try to read by it unless it was fairly close
