Pros & Cons
Pros
Okay, been using it and am falling in love with it. Yes it is hard to move when at its lowest setting. Thing works like a charm.
Highlights
Quality
I am using this to assist with some photography, the build is perfect for my requirements.
I only deducted a star because turning the knob right (tightening) lowers the platform.
Glued a non skid rubber mat on bottom.
No play or slop in the mechanism.
Price
I read that someone tried this with success so i figured for approximately $20 it would be worth trying.

It is not as great a quality as the expensive one but it is good enough so i would recommend it in this application as a low cost alternative
