Pros & Cons
Pros
It takes some time to tune in what's needed (amount of coffee to latte), but otherwise i love the flavor out of this thing. The only slight inconvenience with this coffee maker is the lack of an actual handle on the lid.
I bought it for its novel alpine hat looks, but it also happens to be a nice espresso pot. The feather for the hat makes the perfect thumb lever to open the top and avoid being burnt.
This mini tyrolean espresso maker adds a bit of fun to my daily espresso. It is unbelievably cute and makes very good espresso. Great quality as most bialetti espresso makers. Bought one for my nyc apartment.
This is the quintessential traditional moka pot that europeans own, in various sizes. This one brews the best single cups by far. The alpina is a bit taller than my 1970s moka pot, thereby slowing the travel of coffee ever so slightly.
Cons
This moka pot was sold as being made in italy. It has a rubber seal that slowly leaches toxins into your espresso. The feather is not replaceable nor is it fixable.
Highlights
Quality
I love this coffee maker, excellent quality.
The classic moka is just completely sturdy, compact and durable in all of its elements and i wish this was the case with the alpina.
It's very very small though and the handle is almost unusable.
1 tip: do not use the feather to open the lid like how you would flick a cigarette lighter the feather will break off it is plastic.
Packaging/appearance
On the box, underneath the 3 cups image is further clarification: “130 ml or 4.
Competitiveness
Anyway, this made a cup of coffee that was very similar to what i remember, so i'm a very happy camper.

The only problem with it its the feather which is poorly and loosely incrusted in the pots lid and whats worse is made of plastic and not particularly strong one so it is really easy to accidentally detach it from the pot

So tiny i have to brew on low on my gas range because the gas flame would scorch the beautiful brewer if on medium or high
