Pros

Bialetti is excellent product. Converted family to this brand. They cook wonderfully on both electric & gas stove tops.

The ceramic coating makes for a really smooth, very nonstick surface that’s easy to use and to clean. Granted they have a knick or two after 9yrs, but they're still in 95% new condition. Easy to clean and they are only hand washed and dried.

Cons

The handle is not heat resistant and turned black near the pan. The new one has a pin hole again.

The finish on this pan is delicate. The red rubs off on my stove and sink, and sometimes on my sponge.

It works fantastic for 2 weeks. About 3-4 months in, it was chipped and scratched. After 6 months, we no longer use the pan as everything sticks to it.

These bialetti ceramic pots and pans are overrated. The difficulty of cleaning & the sticking of pancakes when i cook them makes it a *! They are not for the everyday cook.

So it's definitely a better value, this new one with the steamer, if it ends up performing like the original.

I would definitely suggest being careful not to scratch the coating.
