Pros & Cons
Pros
Very sturdy and excellent quad espresso. You need to make a few batches when you first get it before it starts making good espresso. This is fantastic.
The one drawback is that this is a 2-cup with respect to the espresso that comes out. Great tasting espresso/latte, etc.
Use freshly ground beans for a ton of crema and heed all the other really good tips by others here. Muscle it down to tighten and use freshly ground coffee beans. Use less water, to make coffee stronger, and to make more creamy coffee, i make milk foa... Read More
I use 90ml of water (they give you a measuring cup), and two heaping tea spoons of coffee. It makes something in the vicinity of 100ml (read the specs) of espresso. Used like new made in romania, 4 cups.
Cons
Coffee in a moka is not the same as from an espresso machine. On my gas stove at the same heat i use with my mocha, the top gets too hot and boils the coffee. I am not sure why there is a giant hole in the lid but also, water would constantly pour out... Read More

Price
Love this thing, if you like espresso style coffee and don't want to chunk down 800$ + for a machine this is the ticket.
Makes the best coffee ever and is not so expensive
But for the price, it will get you pretty darn close without breaking the bank.
So if you don't care that much about the crema and the cost of the coffee is a factor, you will go through your coffee faster w... Read More

Low and slow - worth the wait!
Competitiveness
I have both in 3-cup size and brikka seems to produce a better tasting (same coffee).
I have an older bialetti moka pot coffee maker that i replaced with the brikka.
