Pros & Cons
Pros
Set up easy peasy in the field. Easy set up and shockingly durable. Durable, lightweight and very easy to put together.
Great craftsmanship and materials on this product. Two piece detached fly design, which is nice for ventilation.
Coming in around 4lb and packing pretty small, it really is viable for backpacking. Freestanding for my next trip into the high sierras.
Great hight and room for 2 plus some gear. Reminds me of my msr hubba hubba two person tent. Lots of interior room at the same weight of most one man tents.
The dual vestibules are a really nice touch. The pockets inside the tent are awesome. The 3d pocket hanging over the foot of the tent is perfect for stuffing a down jacket. Great places for gear and well thought out vestibule, but.
Cons
The bottom of the sleeping pad actually becomes dripping wet. The zippers are ridiculously susceptible to jamming. The company has no ability to replace zipper assemblies.
Highlights
Quality
Great light weight tent that can quickly be setup.
Lightweight and easy to take with on long hauls!
The sides are held taut and flat to the ground; no flapping, sagging, or floor/side wrinkles like the ba fly creek.
It is worth carrying the extra weight for the headroom alone and to never again set up a semi-freestanding tent short a corner ... Read More
Price
This is an oversight in the tents design, and for the money i spent on this tent, a parts failure like this is unacceptable.
For the price paid i think it should have come with one but a cheap hf tarp will suffice.
I will update after more use, but my initial impression is that this is an outstanding tent and worth the admittedly high price.
Packaging/appearance
Coming in around 4 lb and packing pretty small, it really is viable for backpacking.
Package was "lost" and i never received it, even though it was marked as delivered.
I bought this tent for bike & back packing,i'm 5'10".
It is very light and easy to pitch, and packs into the smallest package i have ever seen a 2 person tent go into.
Competitiveness
I’ve backpacked with tarps, tarp tents, single wall tents, and double wall semi-freestanding tents, and none compare to the eas... Read More
