Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

For what it does and essentially what it can save or prevent, it’s good piece of mind to have. Works well with had better clearer instructions with it. Also has a blue light that is visible through the translucent case.

This means that the filament is now being monitored continuously. The sensor is a step up from normal filament sensor.

Cons

Bigtreetech's website is a complete disaster. No product information, no installation instructions, no manual. There is also no status light to show that it is detecting filament movement. To add insult to injury, this has no mounting bracket either.

A jam a runout and another jam all in the same print

Sure you can build you own combo sensors to get the same sort of jamming and runout detection with a bunch of fiddling to get it all set up just right or you can buy this and go back to printing the stuff you actually wanted

The switch is not designed for the ender 3v2 but i bought 15 of them because i have 15 printers and i was bound and determined to make them work

Connect white to black but not black to white

Just don’t use the second set this gets rid of the light but who needs it and the printer sees it as a temp fault

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

The color sequence at one end will be red black determined white the color sequence at the other end will be red determined black and white which is connected to the black
