Pros
This design seems like it would work fairly reliably. One thing i love about this sensor is that the case halves are friction-fit and come easily apart. Looks and feels like decent quality.
The harness is now directional. No rewiring was needed; plugged into x max.
My environment is a btt skr mini e3 v1. Cr10 display, lcd leveling, marlin 2. Lcd. Works well with creality 4.
Cons
The sensor is just a piece of metal pressing on your filament. It's really too bad, actually. Excellent concept but very poor execution. Not compatible with my printer.

I am using an ender 3 v2, with the jyersui firmware (a great upgrade btw).
Good quality for the price delivered on time
Be careful if you put this on any of your boards and risk frying your board with the pins being in the wrong location.
It didn’t work with my kobra but this may be a compatibility issue and not with the sensor.
Packaging/appearance
These plugged into the x-max end-stops and minor marlin 2.
Competitiveness
Had to get this to replace the one that came with my anycubic kobra max.
The scientific hobbyist on youtube has a great octoprint install video including wiring.
Bought this for use on a creality cr10-s but it doesn't work because the wiring is reversed and the signal circuit is incompatible.
The firmware i am using and i suspect the original creality firmware has the style of detection reversed.
