The fat tire bike in the picture weighed close to 60lbs and the stand held it fine

This is not that big of a deal as the clamp does take time to clamp a seat post while you have to hold the bike suspended

Word of advice make sure to rotate the bike such that the bike is perpendicular to one of the legs

The only thing that really bothered me was every now and then the bike would swivel away from me and id have to turn it back toward me
