Binardat switch is unmanaged, so just plug in power and it's ready to go. This means that there is one less item (adapter) to clog up a rack. Straightforward installation – unmanaged plug-and-play setup.

At $40 (at the time of me typing this), it is a very good value at just $40. The price also seems reasonable. The big question is whether it will last. Assuming this switch is going to last, it is an excellent value.

Powering the six cameras seems to be a breeze. The reduction of all my poe injectors makes the install very clean.

Cons

While updating the firmware the speed seemed to slow to a crawl. Checked and swapped cables with the same result. There are indentations on the bottom of the switch for rubber feet but again these are not included.

It’s low power, and only uses 1 type of screw, in case you want to take it apart, and see if anything’s wrong with it.

I particularly like passive cooling wherever possible because fans fail leading to overheating and catastrophic device failure.

And for only $27 it's not going to break the bank.

The product was well protected in its packaging; all components are snugly contained in a box sealed in an antistatic bag.

Package came with the switch and a power cable.

Competitiveness

Lie many similar items, the manual that was included covers seven variations of switches offered by the company.

Of course, you can use this switch for both poe and non poe devices.

And i noticed the unit has holes only on the sfp (right) side, whereas other brands have holes on the right and left side.

All of the devices i tried negotiated the 1gbps link speed and i was able to get the full line speed on all ports.
