This little router has a smaller footprint than the other switches i have.

Construction is all metal, and it will take a few minor bumps without issue. The case is a sturdy metal but still relatively light equipment. It has metal slots on the bottom to allow for horizontal or vertical mounting on a wall.

The switch works exactly as expected, passing data at up to 1-gig. The 2. Gig 5th port allows you to use at as a faster uplink to provide more bandwidth to gig ports. It meets my expectations and is a welcome addition.

The binardat 5 port gigabit switch is your basic plug and play unmanaged network switch. The manual is pretty skimpy and isn't model specific, but thankfully you just plug it in and it works.

Competitiveness

Not only does this switch have fantastic performance but it is very, very well priced in comparison to other options.

My devices all negotiated gigabit speeds and as far as i could tell i was really achieving gigabit.

I haven't seen a similar product from us retailers before; qnap does make a 5-port 2.

The case is a little larger than the competitors models with a similar number of ports.
