They have a good range of dimming. Using in pendant lights (3) over kitchen island. The 60 watt equivalent were blinding; these 40 watt equivalent seem perfect.

One bulb flickered for a few days and then went out. Clearly a problem with design, led electronics, and method for dissipating heat reducing led life.

Greatly dissatisfied in this product. They either have a quality control problem or total misrepresentation. Contacted the company via phone and left a message with name an d number. Never heard back from them.

I'm over estimating by saying they've prob been in use for 2000 hrs. Was also told that being in extreme temps will shorten their life. There is a huge discrepancy be tween 13 years and 1 year.

Appears to be encased in glass. Not on dimmers. Used only in an open bathroom vanity fixture. Save your money and buy dimmable soft white bulbs at wal mart for about $2 per bulb.
