Pros & Cons
Pros
This will detect all 3 and allow you to recover your print with an auto pause. It's counter-intuitive to position this unit between the extruder and hotend like btt shows but that's where it needs to be.
If your extruder is at the hotend it needs to be close to the extruder somehow to minimize slack/slop. There’s an ever so slight feeling of resistance as the filament makes contact with the internal mechanism, which gives you confirmation that it has ... Read More
Works great with a skr v1. The 3 pins are in a different order than the ones on the vyper. These are microswitch versions version optical versions. Installed with skr mini e3 v2 board for my cr-10s5, didn't have any issues.
No rewiring was needed; plugged into x max. Plug the rest of the stock plug into any sensor port to provide the sensor with power and ground. This means the harness is now directional and the side with the wires on the outsides being used goes towards... Read More
Highlights
Quality
I am using an ender 3 v2, with the jyersui firmware (a great upgrade btw).
Good quality for the price delivered on time

Packaging/appearance
These plugged into the x-max end-stops and minor marlin 2.
Competitiveness
Working great, running connected directly to raspi i'm running octoprint on.
I'm also using this with a btt skr 1.
Bought this for use on a creality cr10-s but it doesn't work because the wiring is reversed and the signal circuit is incompatible.
The firmware i am using and i suspect the original creality firmware has the style of detection reversed.
