Pros & Cons
Pros
The gears aren't worn. It still grips the filament as it should. Retraction retract speed - 5.
The biqu h2 v2s (not the lite version) works as advertised. Needless to say i am impressed with this little extruder. Very nice looking haven mount it.
Highlights
Quality
I highly recommend upgrading to the ti heat break and get thermistor and heater cartridge good for 350 c for max versatility
The machining looks great, the gears run smoothly.
The metal gears move smoothly and i have had zero issues that you might have heard of on the initial versions of this extruder.
The old system was a pain to setup new filament or simply remove/replace as the filament never went back directly in the chambe... Read More
Price
After reviewing i found the biqu to be what i needed and it was on sale.
Finally a water cooled hotend that isn't stupidly expensive.
Packaging/appearance
I haven't installed it yet, but first impressions it looks great.
Competitiveness
Results are much better than the factory bowden extruder or the dual-drive extruder that i had previously upgraded.
If i was doing it again, i'd buy the standard variant, and see if i could get an all metal throat for it instead of going for t... Read More

In short this guy by itself didnt let me do that and honestly has a fairly tough time being used with more 34mundane34 components

The reasoning is actually obvious when you actually read over the material which i didnt do a good enough job of the thermistor needs special attention and an extra slot on your control board
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
This isnt a big deal if you have one of the bigtree third party boards or something similar but if you have a standard control board be aware that youre going to need a one of those to go along with this extruder

In addition the heating blocks slot for that 500c thermistor is not a standard size the one used is a 4mm diameter probe where the 34normal34 thermistors use a 3mm probe
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
This means that you cant use a standard probe in this guy either youre stuck to either buying an entirely new board or replacing the heat block entirely

I ended up having to use the old heating block screwed onto the bottom of the b2s heat break to get a working machine

Other than that the thing seems to be pretty solidly made and is indeed very small for a direct drive hot endextruder

If i was doing it again id buy the standard variant and see if i could get an all metal throat for it instead of going for the 500c model
