Pros
Birds love it! They work amazingly well. My only complaint is that it doesn't stay on very well. This neat little gadget is perfect!
This tray saves us a lot of money on (expensive) mealworms. As an added bonus the smaller birds enjoy sitting in the tray and eating seeds that are still intact.
Cons
I think the plastic would deteriorate quickly if placed in direct sun. This tray is too heavy.

Birds waste a lot of seed but with these catchers excess seed falls to the tray where the birds continue feeding

I wanted a tray under a squirrelresistant insert laughter here to catch seeds to decrease mess under feeder and also allow birds too large to enter feeder to enjoy the seed

The holes for drainage also allow some smaller seeds to fall through and onto the ground
