Quality
Love my birkenstock’s , same quality that i have been purchasing fo 25 years
Just as i expected everything to be with birkenstock quality.
The leather in this pair is shiny, not at all like the product listing photos.
But not with this new pair, for me at least- the quality is the same as ever.
Packaging/appearance
I wore it for 2 weeks straight in the summer right out of the box, no socks.
I got this pair since i was interested in trying the soft bed, and typically i get the nubuck leather.
Competitiveness
The straps are new, thicker, and stronger leather than similar brands.
Been a fan of these for decades, they've gotten pricey but nothing else compares for me.

Deducting one star because the back strap is cut so that there is a slight gap or bend which looks a bit odd

Fedexers pieced it back together in a poly bag and the shoes themselves were okay
