Cheap mounting mechanism. Quit working 8 months in. Even a laptop would not be charged via usb-c. Hindsight lesson, shop around and do not pay this price for subpar equipment.

The clamp worked perfectly and allowed for the unit to be held firmly in place.

It is a convenient way to reduce the need for multiple chargers for devices and help to hide/organize the wires away from the desk.

My laptop needs to be charged regularly and i was always having to climb under my desk to plug in it and unplug it.
