Pros & Cons

Update Pros and Cons

Pros

The reservoir is easily removed once full and easily replaced once empty. We have it emptying into our sump pump so we don't have to deal with emptying the bucket. Works great must empty the container about 4 times a day.

Cons

It is sad how cheaply things are made and that companies have no respect for their brand anymore. It is hopeless and makes me question ever purchasing a black and decker product again. Do not recommend purchasing.

After about 2 years of being powered on <50% of the time, it now gives code e3 (i think - part of the lcd display no longer lights) after running for an hour or so and stops operating. Manufacturer told too bad, * for you.

Most companies these days manufacture appliances in a way that they'll only break down as soon as the warranty expires. The company that handles their warranties has a f rating with the bbb.

Loud loud loud. Less than an hour this thing is loud and blowing hot air which made inside temp go up. It’s loud, it heats your house which makes it worthless during hot humid summers.

The unit is rated for a 3000 sq ft space, so i thought it would be overkill for what i need. The description says it can pull 30 pints of moisture from the air per day, but the bucket only holds 8.

The compressor isn’t terribly loud either and gently hums as it removes moisture from the air.

The reservoir is easily removed once full and easily replaced once empty.

Price

It’s a great value for the money, removes ambient moisture quickly, and is highly recommended.

Packaging/appearance

My only complaint is the hose that comes with the unit as it was not packaged correctly and was bent and unusable for the continuous drain.
