An electric sander is definitely a helpful (if not necessary? This one is great for flat or open surfaces, but if you’re sanding something with some contours, the other shape might be preferable. Has really helped us sand 100' of mahogany.

Don't buy this sander. Spews dust everywhere. Low speed and hardly has enough power to sand the wood using a coarse sand paper. They are cheap so it’s not completely worthless.

Black + decker is well known, established brand name, so it hurts with double strength. Burned up 1st time using it. Technically still works after this white peice fell out.

Of course it's a few days past the return deadline. Returned to amazon for credit. Will not buy again.

After first use i knew - it has zero,0 power to do anything other than scratch/masage paint. It still spins but now has zero torque and stops the moment i touch it to wood.
