It runs quieter than a gas-powered mower (but not a whole lot quieter), and it doesn't smell of poorly-combusted gasoline. Although this mower costs about double a gasoline-powered model, it's perfect for her.

The old switch is what appears in the main product picture today. For the redesign, the whole top half of the push bar assembly is redone. The parts stamp (created new for the housing), says it's a cmm1000 type 4.

Charger is faulty and erratic. The b&d battery costs make replacement extremely uneconomical.

Toro mower does not mulch well. To me, a mulching mower means it cuts the grass so fine it doesn't clump, but that is not what i see on my lawn. Listen to this review and go to lowes and get a toro for half the price.

The plastic engage handle is pretty flimsy and wobbly. The old model has an extremely cheap hand hold (rubber over the medal to cushion your hands) that broke within months.

Will be much cheaper to rebuild with quality componants or just buy a new $100 gas mower. Back to a gasoline engine for me.
