I've had it for three and a half years now and i am actually surprised with the build quality of this thing since it wasn't very expensive.

I love this product, water boils quickly, it is easy to fill up and use.

Sad to see it retired, but got a new one (cuisinart) for christmas, so away the b&d kettle goes.

    The lever seems very flimsy and it feels like the mechanism will not last very long

    The second thing i dont like and i believe this is a significant safety feature is that the lid doesnt always stay closed when the boiling action happens it seems like if the carafe is at least half full the lid doesnt stay snapped closed and pop opens
