The top layer of paper normally comes off if you get a stanly knife etc and gently cut a line across and put a scraper underneath. There is obviously a certain amount of humidity and water dripping down the hose but this is the same for any wall paper... Read More
Overall it saves a lot of time and works well. Was easy to use and lasted a lot longer then similar products.
Cons

I bought two of these units and when we got back from our trip, i filled one up and started stripping the walls.
Lucky enough it was only one layer of wallpaper to scrape but this steamer removed all of it in 2 hours on a medium sized bedroom.
Price
Would recommend this steamer to any painter and decorator, worth the money.
I think the unit is reasonably priced, maybe a tenner lower and it would be even more attractive.

When the furniture arrived we were going away for the week and on the journey we decided that while we had stuff in boxes and access to all the walls that it would be silly not to remove the 20 year old wallpaper that was tired and had been painted over multiple times

We’d bought two to speed up the process but i found very quickly that it really didn’t take long for me to strip an entire wall didn’t actually need two

What i did find with this unit is that we had to peel off the outer layer of paper i don’t know if this is because the paper had been painted over but once the top layer was off holding this on for 3 or 4 seconds the remaining paper would scrape straight off the wall

The job ended up being a lot harder than anticipated the walls were not plastered which meant that the adhesive had seeped into the render once dried we would either have flaking adhesive or adhesive that was melded to the wall not a fault of the unit

I ended up sanding and applying gardz to seal the walls prior to skimming them
