The only downsides are that you have to watch out for where the cord is which can be tricky if you have a lot of trees and they are not as powerful as gas mowers

After 7 years though the lawn hog doesnt work as well the motor stops for no discernible reason then starts right back upand the rubber gizmo across the back of the bottom that keeps you from getting stones and grass bits in the face is pretty much gone
