Pros

Workmate comes in three sizes; i have the big one. The fold/unfold release levers snap it into place securely. Perfect height to use as a cutting surface, and it can be lowered a bit by folding the legs in. The top is missing but i still use it as a p... Read More

It's the perfect thing for an apartment dweller or a renter that can't have a shop. For any type of project, it beats the heck out of an ironing board. A very handy and portable devise.

Cons

Now i have 2 more of the front block, 1 part that does not even go on the work bench and what looks like 1 more front block to a different model. The screws are extremely sharp and dangerous.

It is a foregone conclusion they will not hold up to even moderate use without breaking. Metal is thin, the top is cheap bamboo, and it can't be assembled properly with the supplied parts.

The frame is flimsy.

The right jaw pushes against the steel frame, but it's a cheap spot weld that has to keep the end wrapped around. The metal frame is thinner, the springs weaker and shorter, the rear jaw is not movable any more. The wood for the jaws is thinner.
