Cons
The adjustment collars slip out of position and have to be held in place when clamping them. The bottom collars don't hold the poles fully retracted, so the poles slip out a little and clatter around stored on my pack.

Take the two upper sections of the pole apart by just opening the locking mechanism and pull them apart.
Price
You do get what you pay for sometimes and this is one of those times.
They cost much more than my old poles but very worth it to me.
Packaging/appearance
I would hate to lose it or have to search for it in my pack so this is what i did---it should have come in a very small zip lock bag.
Competitiveness
I have seen this same issue with other high end black diamond poles so i made this simple fix.

I have never used poles before

But as i got older i’m 62 my knees started hurting on the downhill and i didn’t feel really stable on all the rocks hiking in colorado

Well i took them on a hard and steep four hour hike in the colorado mountains and i can’t believe how much easier it was to hike
