If you are looking for a quality head lamp, this one is worth the consideration.
It has great build quality and functions beautifully.
The build quality of my original storm was great and would have gone forever if the batteries didn't kill it.
I always had to use my older storm at the highest setting while i don't with the new one.

I bought the 400 to replace a 5-year old storm.

This is a fairly complicated device with many features

And this is further complicated by the fact that one must learn how to use the headlamp by “feel” due to the obvious reason that when it is mounted on one’s hat or forehead one cannot actually look directly at the lamp nor at any of its controls

Making matters worse are the supplied instructions which frankly are almost incomprehensible
