I think directions are confusing until i figured out the engineers brain circuitry

Also it has a lock feature so if you have it loose in a backpack or duffle bag it wont turn on accidentally the switch has to be pressed for about 5 seconds to turn it back on

When not in use i strap it to my visor and use the map reading or red light for its exact purpose because the light in my truck is pretty much useless
