Ok after being disappointed by other budget carbon poles failing and slipping down while running telescoping poles i knew it was time to upgrade

Recently at the start of a trail running adventure i fell and the push button mechanism broke so that the pole could not lock

Im not sure but it is possible that i did not correctly lock the pole to begin with might have contributed to the fall
