Pros

This black tea has a flavor that is good on the first steep but really shines in the second. It tastes great and being rolled into little balls is really handy. Love this tea, it’s great for the morning with milk and has a smoky finish.

Arrived timely & undamaged. Tealyra never fails to deliver. Sooo good. Hearty and warm.

The flavor of chocolate comes through excitingly. It is still very earthy but now you can taste a hint of astringency.

Cons

The tea itself drinks fine but is overpriced and imo, misleading to call these “pearls”. Once you get used to the fact it tastes nothing like bdp, it’s okay if you like earth and smoke, but i’ll be returning to the tea spot for my bdp.

Excellent quality tea - if a bit expensive

Poor quality tea will float to the top sometimes this does not.

The tea was good quality and the price was fair.

Packaging/appearance

I finished the 4oz package in about a month, (pretty typical for me) and have re-ordered the 8oz.

Competitiveness

I used about 5 pearls in a 40oz pot of tea and as i said, a second infusion is just as good.

They are also reinfusable and the leaves are substantial enough to use in a gaiwan.
