Pros

This is the best smelling shampoo i have ever had! This shampoo has a nice manly smell without being over powering.

This is a black liquid (charcoal), but it washes cleanly. Make sure you rinse well and check the shower around you to make sure there's no charcoal splatters. Rugged and dapper and oars and alps have been my go to products for shampoo/body wash.

The consistency is thick enough - how i like it to be. A little goes a long way. It lathers nicely and leaves his hair feeling nice and soft. We'll be re-ordering more soon!

Shampoo works on my slightly oily hair great. I felt it lingered for a long time. My hair felt super cleansed and clean after using this shampoo.

Cons

When you pump it, it bubbles around the seal for air. Bottle is small and product leaking on arrival due to a not having a double seal. Mine is super dark and has a consistency similar to cookie dough.

In the last few months, i wanted to break the norm and figure out if i was staying with my old one out of habit, quality, or laziness.

I think the matte finish shows wear and attracts dust and dirt more.

Price

The price is a bit premium ($20 at the time of this writing), but you're getting an excellent product.

It is pricey but definitely is the best quality.

He just has a hard time with spending the money on this shampoo when he has short, thinning hair.

I don't think it's a good idea to ship it this way

I received this shampoo about 1 week ago.

I am sure it was thrown around during shipping.

It came with the top taped down so that it wouldn’t accidentally pop up and make a mess during shipment.

Packaging/appearance

I did deduct one star as it arrived cracked and leaking inside of the packaging.

This bottle arrived in a brown paper bag soaked with this shampoo.

It was also dented in, on three sides of the bottle.

Competitiveness

His hair looks healthier than it has with some other shampoos, and this one lasts longer than others he's tried.

He couldn't tell a difference between this shampoo and another he regularly uses that is much cheaper.

In that time frame, i've really have tried about 10 different brands and this one is it.
