I compared a lot with vitamix but went with this one because it's shorter so it fits under my cabinets and i also love how nice it looks.

It came in a blendtec box with the manual and the only scratches i found on the whole thing were some scratchesindentations left on the black rubbersilicon lid by the clear hard plastic bit in the center obviously left from the blender being tested
