Pros & Cons
Pros
A definite tonal improvement. Made my two 6-string acoustics sound cleaner.
There is a millimeter or two difference in the length in each direction but it worked out fine because the factory had space on each end when mounted on the guitar. Advice for sand initially with 120 grit paper.
Replaced factory saddle in my yamaha fg730s with one from this set. Also swapped out bridge pins for ebony ones and added a k&k pickup. These are for my old fender guitar. Fits my takamine and my yamaha acoustic/electric just fine.
Cons
Just purchased this product and only received 1 bridge replacement piece and two nut replacement pieces. They are horrible and cheap.
Highlights
Quality
I love the quality of the pieces and the improvement to tone and feel.
Thanks for a quality product and truth in advertising.
My cheapo special sound and plays like a much higher quality guitar now.
Price
This replaced a broken saddle and fits perfectly, might be a bit higher than the old one, but the price is great and comes with two sets.
Packaging/appearance
I got this and was able to sand down (the bottom) to the exact heigh i needed and get back the high-end i lost.
If you do sand, try to keep the bottoms of the the nut and/or saddle as flat as possible by sanding them on a flat surface.
I did not need to sand anything off the back of the nut.
Competitiveness
This replaced a tusq (plastic) nut and bridge on my 40+ year old hohner acoustic.
Combined with elixer strings (personal favorite) my jasmine now sounds better than my old g series.
You need to shorten the saddle and use the proper stewmac acoustic files for your preferred string gauge.

Bought a very cheap new acoustic knowing it would need a major setup and the tone would not be great
