Pros & Cons
Pros
Old yamaha guitar from the 1070s that sounds so wonderful and mellow. Was rebuilding a friend's guitar and replaced the bridge and pegs. Nice round warm sound all around.
It's so much quicker than sanding the pins down by hand. Installed on my dreadnaught copley acoustic. The nut is the same size so shouldn't be much of a problem but will need some filing in the string slots.
The nut is perfect fit for the parlor i bought this for, just needs some sanding for height. Use sandpaper to properly gauge desired height. Still plenty of volume, just a little less brittle.
Cons
The pins are made with way too much girth. The saddle is too long and too narrow. The only positive is that it is so bulky in size i may be able to file it out.
Highlights
Quality
I swapped out the nut and saddle after about 30 minutes of sanding and the sound quality was greatly improved.
Over all, amazing quality with my order.
They are thick pins, won't fit many acoustics unless sanded.
These bridge pins were too large for a standard dreadnaught acoustic guitar bridge.
Price
Great price for pins and bone nut/saddle.
As usual, this kit, especially for the money, is a great kit.
For this money you could even just buy two sets and learn from the first mistakes.
The price really is impressive for what you get.
