Perfect fit for my 1970 fender, i did not need to sand or anything
This did the job, i used it on a non-name-brand stratocaster type guitar and i was great!
I used this as an upgrade to the astonishingly cheap and poorly made plastic nut on a squier affinity telecaster.
Strings all appeared to be about as high as the first fret after sanding/rounding the bottom of the nut.
Price
Great price and very easy to change out.
Then consider dropping the serious bank on this $6 piece of hardware.
If you want to be fussier than that you may want to consider paying more than six dollars for the privilege.
For the price you can't go wrong.

The nut came on time, and required minimal filing to fit.

The spacing is a bit wide for the affinity because it uses a 40
