Blitz cloth is great for wiping down guitar strings. Yellow cloth applies some sort of treatment to the string, the gray cloth removes excess. After playing just wipe down your strings with the treated cloth, then polish with the second.

Blitz cloths are a very economical way to extend string life. Great for anybody that likes to maintain the brightness of their strings. I change my strings about every 3 months and use nickel silver strings but these cloths still help out.

I have been using blitz cloths for over 40 yrs and they are the only thing i use to clean fretboards and polish frets.

Extends string life, gets rid of the crud, if you are a player or leave your guitars out of their case and ready to play ;)

The first cloth cleans and the second cloth coats, making strings a little more slick so that movement is easier and there’s less friction.
