Pros
These shoes are great! I am an adult who used to dance at a semi professional level. They’re stretchy, supportive, and have a nice elastic in the arch to remind me to point my feet. These are nice shoes with the exception of the heel bunching.
A few things to keep in mind during sizing. Fit makes a huge difference in comfort, and you don't want your ballet slippers too big and saggy in places. The elastic works perfectly and they fit phenomenally.
The hanami has a bit more of the classic ballet shoe look.

The fit is just right and the quality is exceptional for the price.
5 c and after reading reviews that they run a bit smaller, i went up to an 8c and i’m pleased with the fit.
I ended up going with the capezio hanami because the canvas is softer and has a little more give.
If i have to choose, i'm probably going with the larger performa, although you can feel how much lighter and less 'supportive' they are.

I have no idea what happened to that pair in the years since and when i went to replace them recently i found that many brands are making similar fixedelastic shoes now

The correct size in both shoes should be two sizes up from your street shoe size
