Pros

The sleeve is washable so i figure when the blue one gets dirty enough to wash i'll put the black one one the unit.

It's a talk rectangle house a very easily removed tall rectangle filter. My main living space is about 900 square feet with a 30' vaulted ceiling and a sleeping loft. My only gripe is that it does not have a timer like the levoit core 300 purifiers.

When leaving the unit on high for a couple of days a very large open foyer of a home can be cleaned. We use it to help clear out the oily cooking smells that waft in from our neighbors.

Blue pure line trades bells and whistles for solid gains in energy and cost efficiency. Blue filter helps the interior of the unit function better. Blue pure 121 is much bigger that the honeywell pure.

Cons

Side clasps snap shut while attempting to remove and/or insert the filter. Manufacturer recommends replacement after 6 months. Blueair needs to get their filters from a different manufacture.

After running it for a few hours the air quality in our home dramatically improved.

The fabric filter is easy to wash and use and you’d be surprised on how well it works.

Just for the heck of it, i ran the machine with the less than optimal, damaged filter those first few weeks.

Filters only last approximately 4 to 6 months.

Price

Only reason i'm not awarding this unit 5 stars is due to the replacement filter price.

While i was worried about dropping so much coin for the actual machine and then the continued cost of new filters (which are about $100!

They offer them discounted with a subscription and they'll automatically ship them every 6 months.

Unfortunately when the machine arrived the expensive filter was all messed up!

Fortunately, a house repair person rang the doorbell shortly after the delivery, so it was exposed to being seen for only a short while.

Packaging/appearance

Since the box, was labeled with the contents, it should have been placed in a location that was less visible from the street.

A little pricey considering it’s just a bigger version, but seems effective and looks nice, especially compared to other options out there.
